Founder
Born and raised in Pass Christian, MS, William is no stranger to hard work. While helping his hometown rebuild after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, he also watched as his father, William S. Smith III (Billy) and founding partner of Trinity Yachts in New Orleans, LA, build the company from the ground up.
Billy’s strong work ethic was passed down to William as he went on to earn his BA in Management and his MBA from Ole Miss (Hotty Toddy!), during which he was hired by Kaizen Capital, an energy investment partnership in Houston, TX.
As the Director of Marketing and Client Services for Kaizen, he handled client-related needs and initiated the fund’s first concerted marketing efforts. After experiencing success at Kaizen, William’s heritage in the yachting world guided him to Yachts International Magazine where he held key positions, starting as National Accounts Manager and working his way up to Associate Publisher.
Falling in love once again with the luxurious experience yachting can bring to owners and enthusiasts, William decided to follow his father’s footsteps and take the leap into entrepreneurship. And thus, Lafitte Advisors was born.

Born and raised in Colorful Colorado, Emily grew up landlocked, but has always known she was destined to be in the marine industry! She has always had a love for marine and ocean conservation, as well as art and photography.
Emily's educational background is in applied behavioral science, as well as being a freelance artist for most of her life. She combines these two skills to produce high quality productions, along with effectively and efficiently problem solving to provide our clients with the highest quality service.
Outside of work, she is passionate about volunteering her time to local clean ups & fundraising, as well as educating the community on ways to save our beaches, oceans and the turtles!

Also born and raised in Pass Christian, MS, Josh and William have spent a lifetime together. Josh developed a passion for videography as a teenager and has been developing his craft ever since. He started working with William at the occasional boat show and soon developed a taste for all that yachting and South Florida has to offer.

Anya was born and raised in Russia and studied journalism at her home town University. She was an intern at a local magazine and worked at a web-design studio during her college years. Her dream from the very young age was to travel the world. After making that dream come true and immigrating to the USA in late 2000s Anya started her career at an automotive industry. Working at the top South Florida car dealerships she had a chance to learn the local luxury market which made the shift to the yachting industry a seamless one.
With over a decade of service and sales experience she knows what it takes to provide an outstanding customer service. From high-end cars to the mega yachts, there is no task that she can’t handle.
